39 mm Size Hollow Shaft Type Potentiometer with Red LED for Automotive Applications |
Duesseldorf, Germany, May 27, 2009 - With the RK39A, ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPE GmbH offers a potentiometer with a 20.2mm hollow shaft and a red LED for illumination of knob icons. The surface-mountable device is remarkable for its compact design with a diameter of 39mm and a low height of only 22.2mm. It features a rotation angle of 220±5° with 17 detent positions. The detent torque is 40±16mNm, the operating life of the potentiometer is specified with 30,000 rotational cycles. Further technical specifications include a power consumption of 0.05W, a total resistance of 5kΩ and an insulation resistance of 10MΩ at 50VDC. The voltage proof is specified with 50VAC for one minute, the operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. The LED illuminated potentiometer is most suitable for knob design of various set devices, e.g. for air-conditioning, fan, and audio system control in automotive applications.
