ERNI Electronics Offers MiniBridge Connectors with Koshiri Security |
Space saving and robust solutions for compact automotive applications |
Adelberg - September 05, 2014 - As an extension of its popular MiniBridge cable connector family with 1.27 mm pitch ERNI Electronics now offers very robust variants for the automotive industry. The new series meet the Koshiri security requirements of automotive connectors. The automotive Industry has high demands on process reliability for connectors. For example it must be ensured that during a skewed connection process of the male and female parts the male connectors are not damaged. The new MiniBridge Koshiri connectors fulfill these needs for a reliable mating. Due to its compact design, the scalable connector system is ideally suited for space saving connections between PCBs and decentralized function units, especially in the automotive market. Several connection options can be achieved using the straight and angled male and female connectors with 90° and 180° cable outlet. The new MiniBridge variants with Koshiri security are available with 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 pins. The current carrying capacity is specified with 8 A per contact. The male connectors provide SMT termination, while the female parts offer IDC termination. AWG 22 single wire stranded cables can be used. |
