ALPS Provides Tiny Swing and Push Switches for Menu Selection in Mobile Devices |
Duesseldorf, Germany, November 06, 2006 - ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPA GmbH extends its SLLQ series with tiny input devices with combined swing and push operation that features three-way operation comprising forward, backward and center-push switching functions with a single knob. With dimensions of only 8.0mm x 5.0mm x 3.5mm (L x W x H) the new switches are 50% smaller than previous products of the SLLQ series. They provide a lever operation angle of 18 degree for each direction and an operating lifespan of up to 200,000 swing and push cycles. The new switches are ideal for highlighting and selecting menu items in small displays on portable electronic devices such as cellular phones, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and MP3 player. ALPS will present the new SLLQ series at electronica 2006 (Munich, 14. – 17. November) at its exhibition booth in hall A4, stand 542. |
