Detector Switch with Female Connector Terminal for Automotive and Consumer Applications |
SPVQ5 Series: Solder less mounting simplifies assembly process |
Duesseldorf, Germany, November 06, 2007 – With the SPVQ5 series, ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPA GmbH offers new detector switches with female connector terminals for simplified assembly without soldering. The new components are remarkable for their long stroke travel of 2.7mm, high reliability and long operating life of 300,000 switching cycles. These Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) switches supports normal open and normal close. They are rated for switching currents of minimal 0.5µA at 5VDC or up to 0.1A at 12VDC respectively. The necessary operating force accounts for 2N. Housed in a 13.8mm x 13.8mm x 5.8mm (W x D x H) case, the SPVQ5 series are general-purpose switches with a wide variety of applications such as the mechanical detection of the position of engine bonnets, doors, etc. in vehicles or for use in printers, fax machines, etc. The SPVQ5 series can be used both in horizontal and vertical direction as well as on the front or back side of the switch. To guarantee reliable stable contacts against mechanical shock and vibration, the detector switches use a double-sided sliding-contact point structure. They offer a contact resistance with a maximum of 500mΩ or 1Ω after lifetime of the device.
