ALPS Electric Appoints Mr. Yoichiro Kega as New President of ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPE |
Düsseldorf, February 04, 2009 – As of January 01, 2009, ALPS Electric Co., Ltd. appointed Mr. Yoichiro Kega (48) as president for ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPE GmbH, based at the European headquarters in Düsseldorf. Yoichiro Kega succeeds Mr. Yukio Sagisaka, who returned to Japan in December 2008 to take care of new tasks at the Sales & Marketing headquarters in Tokyo. In the new position Mr. Kega is responsible for further strategic developments and the successful implementation of the company’s products in the European market. ALPS is a leading manufacturer of electromechanic components, with five main business segments providing versatile innovative electronic products: mechatronic and magnetic components as well as components for communications electronics, peripheral products and automotive electronics. For almost 25 years Yoichiro Kega has been working for ALPS in different positions as European Sales Manager and Domestic Sales Senior Manager at the headquarters in Japan and as Business Planning Manager at ALPS Peripheral Division. He has a Masters of Law degree of Aoyama Gakuin University, Tokyo, and he is married with one son. |
