ALPS Presents New Flyer About Bluetooth Modules and Announces Two New Distributors |
Duesseldorf, Germany, December 21, 2004 – The Bluetooth technologies offers comprehensive wireless solutions for the easy and fast communication between PC, peripherals and portable devices such as cellular phones or PDAs. Also, in the industrial sector the use of this short range radio data transmission is very manifold. It ranges from automobile industry across rail transportation technology and aviation up to industrial automation. To facilitate the choice of the appropriate Bluetooth module for these numerous applications, ALPS Electric Europa GmbH has published a new flyer. The English edited brochure offers a quick overview to the company’s newest Bluetooth modules and informs about their technical specifications, mechanical dimensions and applications. The new Bluetooth flyer is for all interested parties immediately available upon request. Samples of the modules and specifications can be obtained from ALPS two new distributors for German speaking countries: MSC – Microcomputers Systems Components (www.msc-ge.com) and Unitronic AG (www.unitronic.de). In particular, the modules UGPZ1-603A, UGPZ2-603A and UGXZ5-203A were introduced. The certified modules UGPZ1-603A and UGPZ2-603A contain EU(R&TTE) type approval and are remarkable for their small mechanical dimensions of 32.0mm x 15.0mm x 2.65mm and point-to-point connections with transfer rates of up to 115.2 kbps. They have integrated HUM/MUM features to determine the type of information received or transmitted via UART as well as a voltage regulator and line filtering. Further characteristics are an implemented power control circuit for easy shutdown and the AT command based application management interface. The modules are optionally available with integrated antenna. With its compact dimensions of 13.5mm x 10.0mm x 1.9mm, the module UGXZ5-203A is especially suited for small electronic devices such as cellular phones, notebooks, PDAs, digital cameras, terminal adapters and printers. It conforms to the Bluetooth V1.2 specifications and is ready for use with UART interfaces. Because of its low-power consumption, the module can be used in low-power applications. |
