FM/AM Tuners for Automotive Applications |
Duesseldorf, Germany, Mai 09, 2005 – With the TFTC7 series ALPS Electric Europa GmbH now offers a family of compact, low-profile automotive AM/FM tuners, boasting high sensitivity of –1dBµ and high S/N ratio of 66dB. The tuner modules feature small dimensions of 50mm x 40mm x 11mm (L x W x H) and an AM frequency range from 531kHz to 1.602kHz, a LW frequency range from 153kHz to 281kHz and a FM frequency range from 87.5MHz to 108MHz. Conforming with the European CE Standard and FCC Standards, the tuner modules can be used for car CD players and car radio units. The TFTC7 series is rated for voltages of 7.5V to 8.5V and has a typical current consumption of 95mA. Providing a distortion of typical 0.3% (FM) or rather 0.5% (AM), an image rejection ratio of typical 55dB or 75dB (AM), an IF rejection ratio of typical 80dB or rather 60dB (AM)/50dB (LW), they operate within a temperature range from –30°C to +80°C. The limiting FM sensitivity is –1dBµ and the maximum AM sensitivity is 20dBµ. The antenna input impedance amounts to 75Ω. ALPS adopted its high-density mounting technology to ensure a compact, low-profile design that enables effective utilization of setting space. Another advantage of the TFTC7 series is that the FM and AM section respectively incorporate a circuitry up to the audio-output stage, which eliminates RF adjustments during the performance review and set installation, thus enabling a reduction in man-hours in productions. |
