ALPS at Domotechnica 2006 in Cologne for the First Time - Electromechanical Components for White Goods
Düsseldorf, Germany November 28, 2005 - In 2006, ALPS Electric Europa GmbH, a leading manufacturer of electronic components, will be represented at the Domotechnica trade show in Cologne, Germany, (February 13th through 16th) for the first time. As part of the restructuring of sales activities towards markets for which the company will continue to produce products in Europe, ALPS will have its first booth at the international trade show for large and small household appliances and for components. The company already supplies components to all major manufacturers of white goods, but it would like to use the trade show platform to discuss the latest developments and trends with manufacturers and with the supply industry.

In Hall 11.2, at Booth F20/G21, ALPS will be presenting a multitude of innovations. Besides electromechanical components, such as push-button switches and all kinds of other different switches, the company will place particular emphasis on showing its wide range of rotary pulse encoders. These devices are being used in ever increasing numbers of applications and, through the digitalization of the electronics, they are replacing the conventional components used to select a program/cycle or perform other operations. At Domotechnica, ALPS will also be presenting the new rotary pulse encoder from the SDKU series. These devices feature a built-in power switch and are extremely well-suited for applications in the area of washing machines and dryers.

"Domotechnica is the ideal business platform for all forms of trade in the household appliance sector. It is the only international trade show that provides a complete overview of the new developments related to household appliances of all sizes. Furthermore, the component industry will have its own area to provide attendees from the trade with information about innovations for the household appliance industry of tomorrow," said Ulrich Kuhs, marketing manager, ALPS Electric Europa. "This combination - a comprehensive overview of the appliance products combined with the presentation of innovative components and assemblies - opens up new market opportunities, particularly for the target group of dealers that are specialized in this field."

There will be more information on these products at the ALPS exhibit in Hall 11.2 at Booth F20/G21.
