Pfaff-silberblau starts up at its new headquarters in Kissing

Relocation sets the course for even greater company growth and innovation

Kissing, January 21, 2008 - It took three moving companies and approximately 3,000 moving boxes for administrative files alone to achieve this feat: in mid-December 2007, the Pfaff-silberblau Group relocated within just a few days to its new headquarters in the “Silberpark” in Kissing. The new site comprises a four-floor administrative building with a total area of 3,000 m², a new process-oriented production facility and an efficiently structured storage facility with a total of 6,400 m². The company’s 220 employees at the site in Kissing are pleased with the bright and generously spaced offices in the new building, the short distances within the newly organised administration structure and the highly modern production and storage facilities. This “new start” in Kissing hails in a new phase of growth and innovation: Pfaff-silberblau is planning massive new investments in production and is seeking highly motivated employees for all of its company divisions. “In this highly modern work environment, the employees of Pfaff-silberblau can fully manifest their strengths,” says Dr. Volker Bartelt, CEO. “Production and storage facilities are optimally aligned to material flow and will guarantee a smooth transition between all work processes. Our internal logistics now comprises the state-of-the-art technology and we’re planning further investments in production facilities this year.” The site in Kissing well accommodates the medium-term expansion plans of the company: Even before begin of construction, the company had secured the option of expansion of production and storage to a total area of 12,000 m² and can therefore further expand production capacities at any time.   “We’ve not only invested in production and storage, but also in IT and modern call-centre technology,” explains Bernd Wagner, CFO at Pfaff-silberblau. “To support our growth, we now need to stock up on personnel. We are seeking trained sales personnel, engineers for our technology, and employees for production.” Pfaff-silberblau in Kissing offers its current and future employees an attractive and modern working environment with ideal accessibility: The new “Silberpark” – named after the first company to settle in it – lies directly at the northern entrance to the federal motorway B2 to Friedberg and Augsburg.
