Kissing, 11 March 2008 - Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik GmbH, Kissing/ Germany will be showing its Electric Wire Rope Winches, especially developed for stage technology, to the French market for the first time at Manutention 2008 in Paris/France from 11 to 14 March. The "Delta classic" and "Delta redundant" are available in five basic design sizes to take loads from 2.5 kN to 25 kN. With these winches, outstanding performance, absolute safety and low noise levels are a matter of course in the world of theatre and event organisation. Up to eight cable outlets can be provided from the cable drum in both Delta Winches, depending on customer requirements. This means that even the most complicated lifting and lowering processes from backdrops or other stage structures are possible. Effective operation is provided by the electric controls, with an infinitely variable speed regulation from 0.0 to 1.8 m/s. A full load can even be held for 60 minutes without using the brake. Safety is one of the major factors of the "Delta classic" and "Delta redundant". Both Wire Rope Winches comply with the BGV-C1 and DIN 56950 standards and meet all safety requirements for technical equipment in the stage sector. With its doubled superstructure, two drive motors with redundant safety brakes and two transmissions, the "Delta redundant" is also equipped for "emergencies". If a motor fails unexpectedly, the second motor automatically takes over its work; this “emergency” electrical drive is an extra for free, and it does not only protect the people in the surrounding area of the stage, but also ensures that the performance can continue without any difficulty. Another outstanding feature of the Delta Wire Rope Winch is its lack of noise. At a distance of 1 m, they produce max. 60 db(A). This characteristic, which is of vital importance for stage technology, is due to the sophisticated "driving-axle-system". Here, the Wire Rope Winch describes, on an indexing slide, a sideways movement, whilst the cable is wrapped around the drum at the same time. The consequence is a cable run-in angle of 0°, which reduces not only noise emissions but also wear and tear to a minimum. Because of the high standard of safety, this Electric Wire Rope Winch can be used anywhere where there’s people under loads, e.g. for lifting display elements in department stores or theatres. The winches also have an extremely long working life because of their design according to the 2m engine group. This means that the expected working life of the low-maintenance "Delta classic" and "Delta redundant" is 1,600 hours at double load. In addition to its Delta Winches, Pfaff-silberblau offers an extensive range of high-quality Electric Wire Rope Winches in the BETA model series, with loadbearing capacities of 2.5 kN to 75 kN. Pfaff-silberblau will be presenting further highlights from its range of lifting and material equipment at Manutention 2008. On Stand 6J005 in Hall 6, visitors will also be able to see the new EGV ESL range of Electric Stackers, the MH hydraulic machine hoist and the SILVERLINE variable travelling trolley. |
