Kissing and Stuttgart, 22 September 2008 - Last year, Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik GmbH, Kissing/Germany, started to extend the customer-friendly construction-kit system for their successful SHE range (standard worm gear screw jack), presenting the screw jacks in size SHE 15.1. At the Motek 2008, the drive-technology specialists are going a step farther, and are now presenting for the first time the completely revised, optimised SHE size 1.1 standard screw jacks with a lifting force of up to one tonne – for more economy and added safety. These benefits have been realised through one technical modification: instead of the Tr 22x5 spindle used hitherto, the new SHE 1.1 uses a Tr 24x5. This means that 25 percent longer strokes can be implemented at the same degree of resistance to buckling. Thus the significantly more economical SHE 1.1 can now be installed for applications that would formerly have required a larger size because of the buckling load. In addition, the enlarged spindle diameter effectively increases the self-locking effect of the trapezoidal screw. The Pfaff-silberblau SHE range size 1.1, with its lifting force of up to 10 kN, is available in Type 1 with lifting spindle and protective housing or locking piston, and in Type 2 with rotating spindle and travelling nuts in various variants. With the self-locking trapezoidal screw and a worm drive with two ratios, both versions are suitable for both slow and medium stroke speeds. Customer-specific modification or special versions are now just as easy to implement as with the familiar SHE construction-kit system. The mounting of motor-attachment flanges or flanges for shaft encoders is also simple. All the tapped holes are provided as standard. And the Pfaff-silberblau engineers were careful to ensure end-to-end compatibility with earlier worm gear screw jack. What has not changed is the connection dimensions, such as drilling pattern, installation height at the spindle ends, the diameter and distance of the drive shafts, and the entire installation space. The new SHE 1.1 can thus be integrated in existing designs without difficulty. The redesigned SHE 1.1 merges seamlessly with the standardised construction-kit system of Pfaff-silberblau standard screw jacks. So the gear housing now appears in the rounded form typical of SHE. Guide ring, second guide ring and flanges are screwed flexibly directly into the housing. The proven standard gears, the secure guiding of the spindles, the large number of variants and the ample room for customer-specific modifications and special versions thus make the gears the preferred choice. At the Motek 2008, Pfaff-silberblau is exhibiting in Hall 5, Stand 5525 together with their subsidiary ALLTEC. In addition to the redesigned SHE 1.1, Type 1 and 2, the company is also presenting its new “CLA” and “CLAT” linear drives for the first time. |
