High performance cubed: the new MERKUR H from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik |
Fast and robust high-performance screw jack with a cubic design is even suited for continuous operation under extreme conditions |
Heilbronn/Kissing, Germany, 21 September 2009 - Higher input speed, higher drive torque and a higher duty cycle: The MERKUR H, the new high-performance cubic screw jack from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik of Heilbronn meets even the highest demands. With speeds of up to 3,000 rpm and with torques that are, on average, twice as high as for the standard MERKUR version, the MERKUR H moves the heaviest of loads more quickly than other screw jacks commonly available on the market. It is available in five model sizes with lifting capacities of 6.5 kN to 130 kN. Furthermore, its high-quality machining makes it suitable for continuous operation, even when subject to extreme temperatures ranges and harsh environmental conditions. ALLTEC Antriebstechnik, a subsidiary of the Pfaff-silberblau Group with headquarters in Kissing is raising the bar: The MERKUR H (the “H” stands for high performance) offers a higher maximum permissible input speed, a higher drive torque and a higher duty cycle. Here, speeds of up to 3,000 rpm are possible, whereas 1,500 rpm is normally standard. The maximum permissible torque on the drive shaft is 8 Nm for the smallest model size and 190 Nm for the largest. As a result, the MERKUR H is configured for more powerful motors, and it can move even heavy loads at high speed. This makes it the perfect screw jack for applications in industrial assembly, automation, and transport technology or in the heavy-load industry. On top of all that, the MERKUR H is designed to withstand extreme temperature ranges and harsh environmental conditions. To make this possible, ALLTEC Antriebstechnik implemented features such as high-grade materials for the pairing in the worm gear teeth, and completely encapsulated oil filling for the gearbox in standard versions. This ensures reliable operation in ranges that vary from high temperatures all the way down two double-digit temperatures below zero degrees Celsius. The MERKUR H’s corrosion protection can be adapted to match the customer’s individual requirements; it is even suitable for use in seawater environments, for which a particularly high-grade coating is employed. To ensure operational safety, either short or long safety nuts are used depending on the type of application. If the main nut should ever fail, these safety nuts bear the axial load. Mechanical safety brakes in the drive system are also possible for additional protection to ensure that the load is not dropped. As a result, the MERKUR H also qualifies for use in safety-critical applications. At Motek 2009, ALLTEC Antriebstechnik will be presenting its offerings together with Pfaff-silberblau in Hall 5, at Booth 5428. Besides the MERKUR H, visitors will also be able to see other new products: the TARVOS Stellantriebe from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik, as well as amongst others special Pfaff-silberblau solutions from the versatile range of SHE worm-gear screw jacks. |
