Simply strong: Telescope lifting column PHOENIX-Heavy from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik with 13 tons lifting power
Kissing/Heilbronn (Germany), June 16, 2011 – Reliability, precision and security: these are the essential characteristics making the PHOENIX telescope lifting column from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik in Heilbronn, a subsidiary of Kissing-based Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products GmbH, a tried-and-trusted instrument for varying the height of components in production and assembly in heavy mechanical engineering, the utility vehicle industry, aviation and aerospace. As of now, ALLTEC Antriebstechnik has a solution for particularly heavy lifting tasks in the shape of “PHOENIX-Heavy” as an individual special model: Whereas the “standard model” has a lifting power of 25 kN, the new telescope lifting column can lift loads of up to 130 kN at a maximum movement speed of 3.60 m/min.

The PHOENIX-Heavy shows its strength best of all when handling excentric loads, managing loads of up to 78 kN at 500 mm protrusion. Maximum side load is an impressive 39,000 Nm. The PHOENIX Heavy benefits from a honed, hard-chromium plated piston, a low-backlash sliding guide and a compact design. Its marked stability and precision make it suitable not only as lifting equipment for production and assembly, but also as a low-vibration actuator for equipment for research purposes. The PHOENIX-Heavy has no hydraulic components; as a purely mechanical system, it is perfectly suited for use in hygienically sensitive areas such as the food or pharmaceutical industries.

The PHOENIX-Heavy is available in a single- or double-stage version and is produced according to customers’ individual requirements: customers can select lifting and basic installation height as well as individual speed and drive configuration. The installation position is variable too: according to the requirements posed by the field of application, the lifting column can be installed vertically, horizontally or upside down.
