PHOENIX-Heavy from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik for very heavy extruder from KraussMaffei Berstorff
Kissing (Germany), October 10, 2011 – Specific requirements are child’s play for the PHOENIX-Heavy telescope lifting column from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik: KraussMaffei Berstorff, one of the world’s leading providers of machinery and systems for the production and processing of plastics and rubber, is entrusting the precise height adjustment of its very heavy twin screw extruders to the powerful, versatile lifting column from the PHOENIX series.

KraussMaffei Berstorff’s twin screw extruder can be integrated into existing extrusion lines as an ancillary extruder, where it can cover half-finished products with a further coating layer. The PHOENIX-Heavy, which has been produced in a special version tailored to the customer’s needs, allows it to be adjusted flexibly to the varying heights of the tools. Not even the leverage effect of the excentrically attached injection molding tool can destabilize this robust lifting column from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik – its durable construction and honed, hard-chromium plated piston keep it in control of the situation at all times. The customer-specific placement of the engine, which is attached vertically to the torque tube rather than horizontally, makes the PHOENIX still more compact.

A further product from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik is being applied for adjusting the extruder’s angle of inclination: A screw jack from the MERKUR series, operated by a handwheel, adjusts the twin screw extruder to the correct injection angle or places it horizontally for servicing or for changing the screw.

Further information on the telescope lifting column series PHOENIX from ALLTEC Antriebstechnik and the screw jack series MERKUR is available on the internet at www.alltec.de.
