Kissing/Germany, February 25, 2013 - Reliable and safe performance is essential also in lifting applications for outdoor use as well as in aggressive and hygienically critical environmental conditions. Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products GmbH, Kissing (Germany), has extended its versatile SHE series of the Pfaff-silberblau brand with a “stainless” option. With its innovative new design and featuring fully rust-proof components, the SHE-S series meets exacting of requirements in terms of corrosion protection and cleanability with its corrosion-resistant design. Also thanks to its cost-effective construction, the SHE-S “stainless” series by Pfaff-silberblau is attracting more and more customers, particularly from the food processing industry, pharmaceutical industry, paper industry, petrol industry as well as from steel hydraulics construction. Load range from 3 t to 15 t The “stainless” option is currently available for sizes SHE-S 3.1 to SHE-S 15.1 in the load range from 3 t to 15 t. The SHE-S range is identical in terms of its dimensions with the standard screw jacks of the SHE family by Pfaff-silberblau. Corrosion-free and contamination-resistant components The SHE-S “stainless” series is resistant on account of its closed housing from corrosion-free cast steel, whose attractive new design is also geared to robust and powerful actuating power. The steel is also stainless from which the whirled precision spindle as well as the bearing and housing covers are made. The worm wheel, guide ring and the optional end stop are made from special bronze. All standard parts such as bolts and lubricators are also made from rust-proof material. Pfaff-silberblau also offers screw jacks of the SHE series in which only individual components are made from non-corroding material. This makes good economic sense if, for example, only the screw comes into contact with the corrosive medium. Also for hygienically critical applications Instead of standard mineral-oil-based lubricants, the new SHE-S “stainless” worm gear screw jacks can also operate with special lubricants suitable for use in the food processing industry. This extends the range of applications for the new stainless worm gear screw jacks from Pfaff-silberblau also to include hygienically demanding applications.
