Proven in thousands of applications – the safe and versatile electric wire rope winch BETA EL from Pfaff-silberblau
As BGV C1 electric wire rope winch - cost-efficient alternative for stage and building technology and industry
Kissing/Germany, 9 June 2015 – At Stage|Set|Scenery 2015 in Berlin, Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products is presenting its versatile electric wire rope winch BETA EL from Pfaff-silberblau. In its BGV C1 design, the winch meets the stringent safety requirements stipulated by the German regulations for occupational insurance schemes. It has already proven itself in countless applications involving stage and building technology and also in industry in the form of a cost-efficient, standardised alternative to the “traditional” DELTA stage winch from Pfaff-silberblau.

Available in various configurations

The versatile BETA EL can be adapted to customers’ specific needs. Designed for various loads ranging from 160 to 3,200 kg, the winch is available in numerous configurations. Single or multi-rope, with rope clamping roller, slack rope switch, micro switch, on-board transmitter or load measurement for overload monitoring – everything is possible.

Safe according to BGV C1

It is particularly in demanding applications from a technical safety aspect that the BGV C1 electric wire rope winch from Pfaff-silberblau really comes into its own. The standard features which include a gear-type limit switch with four contacts, quiet spur gear and two independently acting three-phase induction motors with an electrically released spring-operated disc brake guarantee maximum safety.

Proven in thousands of applications

The safe and reliable BETA EL from Pfaff-silberblau is already used in countless applications involving both stage and building technology. In the Stadthalle Gersthofen civic centre, a five-rope BETA winch is used for moving stage elements. In shopping centres such as the Sevens mall in Düsseldorf, the winch moves an oversized disco ball, and in Duisburg’s Königsgalerie it is part of an elaborately choreographed decoration and art installation.
