Columbus McKinnon offers new catalogue for telescopic lifting column PHOENIX of the Alltec Antriebstechnik brand
Kissing/Germany, 10. August 2015 – For Motek 2015, Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products, Kissing/Germany, is publishing a new product catalogue for its advanced telescopic lifting column PHOENIX of the Alltec Antriebstechnik brand, which is also on show at the exhibition. The new catalogue featuring current dimensional drawings provides a user-friendly means of selecting and configuring the lifting column in a single or multi-stage design. The telescopic PHOENIX is ideally suited for use as an ergonomic adjusting system for assembly and work benches, as a height adjuster for measuring platforms and in all applications where guiding the load on-site is not possible and a visually appealing design is desired.

High off-centre lifting capacity

The PHOENIX lifting column is available from its manufacturer Columbus McKinnon in a single, two and three-stage design. Its compact dimensions and its fully enclosed design make it ideal for robust industrial use. One outstanding feature of the telescopic lifting column is its high lifting capacity for eccentric forces of up to 25kN, meaning that the load’s centre of gravity does not need to be in dead centre on the end plate.

Synchronisation of multiple lifting columns

A further advantage of the PHOENIX is that it can be mechanically synchronised. This allows multiple lifting columns to be interconnected by means of bevel gearboxes and connecting shafts and actuated by a central motor. This in turn facilitates a uniform travel speed also for uneven weight distribution.

The PHOENIX lifting column from Columbus McKinnon consists of a screw jack from the proven MERKUR series with a special screw, integrated inside a telescopic aluminium tube structure. Thanks to an integrated guide using special section tubes, no additional guides are required on-site. What is more, the PHOENIX can also be installed in every conceivable position. Available options include a limit stop switch facility, customer-specific end and base plates in addition to flanges for motor and encoder attachment.
