At Motek 2015, Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products, Kissing, is exhibiting selected products and bestsellers from the linear motion precision screw range of its Alltec Antriebstechnik brand. The extensive product portfolio comprises trapezoidal and ball screws in rolled and whirled designs along with the associated travelling nuts. A new product brochure from Columbus McKinnon featuring its Alltec linear motion precision screws contains information on all the variants and designs. Custom-made ball screws Columbus McKinnon supplies the ball screws KGS from Alltec Antriebstechnik in 12 mm to 80 mm diameters and with accuracy grade T7 ex stock. The travelling nut range that matches these linear motion precision screws includes numerous different types such as cylindrical DIN and flange nuts in addition to special cylindrical Alltec and flange nuts. All the nut types are available as a reduced play and prestressed version. Precision nut adaptation in short machining time Each and every ball nut KGM is individually adapted by trained specialists to the matching screw to ensure that the nut has optimum play and can be screwed effortlessly onto the screw. Columbus McKinnon’s state-of-the-art factory equipment at the site in Kissing is used for machining the hardened ball screw ends in an optimised machining process without material-compromising soft-annealing. Large selection of trapezoidal screws Columbus McKinnon offers the trapezoidal screw TGS from Alltec Antriebstechnik with diameters from 12 mm to 80 mm made from standard material C35. Alternatively, screws with diameters from 16 mm to 50 mm, also made from stainless material 1.4404, are available. Multi-variant and customisable Columbus McKinnon produces its trapezoidal screws according to DIN103 with thread quality 7e and, depending on customer requirements, using the thread whirling manufacturing technique – for screws with high pitch accuracy and a very good surface – or by thread rolling for quick, cost-optimised large scale manufacture. Complementing these, numerous matching pre-finished nuts or trapezoidal nut TGM machined to customer requirements are available. Depending on the application, Columbus McKinnon supplies the Alltec-trapezoidal screws with a serrate or standard screw end and also individually machined according to customer specifications. An extensive range of accessories such as various bearing units and attachment parts go to complete the linear motion precision screw range from Columbus McKinnon.
