Powerful Additional Gear Box for the SILVERLINE HZ S Hoist from Pfaff-silberblau |
Friedberg, Germany, September 13, 2005 - At CeMAT 2005 (11 - 15 October in Hanover, Germany), Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik GmbH & Co. KG of Derching/Friedberg, Germany, is presenting its SILVERLINE HZ S ratchet lever hoist with an additional new high-performance gear box. That new all-purpose lever hoist with capacity 300 kg (660 lbs.) has been designed and developed to grant the users with its fantastic ergonomics and gear drive that only needs minimum on efforts when lifting the load. At the same time, integrating the additional gear drive has increased the breaking reliabilityof this well-proven ratchet lever hoist, which can be used so flexibly for mounting and production tasks and in warehouse operations. The reengineered SILVERLINE HZ S has retained its familiar compact construction, which makes handling the device simple and safe, even in close quarters. The reliable quality that marks this popular ratchet lever hoist from Pfaff-silberblau's line up of products also remains unchanged: With characteristics such as the solid sheet-steel housing with a short ratchet lever, the galvanized chain with a chain guide as well as the asbestos-free brake disc, the SILVERLINE HZ S is not only very easy to use, it also ensures a long service life. At CeMAT 2005, Pfaff-silberblau will also be presenting a series of other reengineered products from its versatile range of offerings in the area of lifting and materials handling technology. These products include the robust PROLINE HZ PRO ratchet lever hoist, the smooth-running PROLINE P 90 pulley block, the powerful HU 10-XE high-lift pallet truck, the maneuverable EGU 15 P electric pallet truck and the redesigned SILVERLINE electric chain hoist. At Pfaff-silberblau, within the framework of a comprehensive analysis of risks and process failure, even before a system is installed measures are developed to prevent premature failure of important drive and lifting components. This is because lifting systems in which gear boxes for worm-gear screw jacks form the heart of the linear drive technology, require controlled-process monitoring and reliable protection against overload. To provide this protection, Pfaff-silberblau uses test rigs for early identification and localization of potential overloading and overheating risks in order to implement measures to prevent production downtimes and high resultant costs. Pfaff-silberblau's engineers have recently developed a solution that employs infrared sensors for a completely controlled process. The new concept was developed because conventional temperature sensors on the housing or in its oil bath do not provide sufficient and reliable protection due to the thermal inertia of masses. Infrared sensors, on the other hand, record the temperature directly at the point of friction between the worm shaft and the worm gear. The sensors then use a programmable triggering unit to convert the measured data into analog signals that are passed on to the controller. This mechatronic process monitoring is being employed with great success in both high-performance lifting elements and in automatic trial and testing installations. This innovative monitoring concept from Pfaff-silberblau is currently demonstrating its performance capabilities in a testing system for a lifting element for a nuclear power plant's reprocessing facility. |
