SILVERLINE Electric Chain Hoist from Pfaff-silberblau with a New Design for Greater Safety and Convenience |
Friedberg, Germany, and Paris, France, March 7, 2006 - Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik GmbH & Co. KG of Derching/ Friedberg, Germany, has enhanced its electric chain hoist from the SILVERLINE model series with a comprehensive redesign: With an integrated slipping clutch, a gear limit switch, a flat housing with cooling fins, as well as a user-friendly control switch, the redesigned SILVERLINE EKZ PCH is one of the company's product highlights for Manutention 2006 (from 7 through 10 March 2006 in Paris, France). As far as its appearance is concerned, the reengineered electric chain hoist first stands out due to its flat, compact and closed construction. The chain hoist's two-button pendant control box has also been redesigned. Thanks to its ergonomic grip, this device sits comfortably in the operator's hand and makes single-hand operation of the SILVERLINE EKZ PCH even more convenient. An integrated emergency stop button and the 1.8-meter control cable ensure optimal safety for the operating personnel. Nevertheless, the SILVERLINE EKZ PCH has more to offer than an attractive and practical exterior – a fact that is indicated from the outside by the cooling fins in the motor area of the die-cast aluminum housing: These fins lower the operating temperature considerably, even when operating the device under heavy loads, and thus help ensure that the equipment offers excellent reliability and a long life span. Another benefit when it comes to maintaining safety, even when handling the heaviest of loads, is provided by a new technical feature inside Pfaff-silberblau's robust electric chain hoist: an integrated slipping clutch on the rotor shaft. Mounted in front of the brake unit and adjustable via an adjusting screw, the clutch ensures that the load always stays high, even under overload conditions. Inside the clutch, the two gears are helical-toothed to improve the operating characteristics of the SILVERLINE EKZ PCH. As part of the standard equipment, a gear limit switch provides additional relief for the slipping clutch. The SILVERLINE EKZ PCH is suitable for a broad spectrum of applications: It raises and lowers free loads in the range from 125 to 1,000 kg over distances of up to 3 meters and is employed in workshops and production facilities. The rust-resistant version is even used in creameries and in the food industry. Besides the redesigned electric chain hoist, Pfaff-silberblau is also presenting additional innovative products from its delivery program for lifting and material handling technology. At booth G 045 in hall 6, the products on exhibit include the robust PROLINE HZ PRO ratchet lever hoist, the smooth-running PROLINE P 90 pulley block, the powerful HU 10-XE high-lift pallet truck, the SILVERLINE HZ S ratchet lever hoist with an additional gear box, as well as the maneuverable EGU 15 P electric pallet truck. |
