Major Order: Discount Food Retailer Uses Hand Pallet Trucks from Pfaff-silberblau to Stack Goods
Friedberg, Germany, April 6, 2006 - A big order from one of Germany’s largest food discounters has been posted in the order books of Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik GmbH & Co. KG of Derching/Friedberg, Germany. Effective immediately, pallets in this food retailer’s distributing warehouses and stores in Germany and abroad will be lifted and moved with the aid of hand pallet trucks that bear the “Pfaff-silberblau” mark of quality. This Southern German specialist for the field of hoisting machinery and materials handling equipment has already delivered several hundred pieces of equipment within the framework of an open-ended outline agreement.

This major order consists of two different versions of the SILVERLINE hand pallet trucks from Pfaff-silberblau. The user friendliness and reliability of this equipment won the favor of the technical purchasing agents responsible for the decision: The SILVERLINE model with a length of 1,150 mm is meant for moving “EURO pallets” (with a length of 1,200 mm and a width of 800 mm). This model’s “little” brother with a length of 800 mm forks up the “Düsseldorf pallets” (with dimensions of 800 mm by 600 mm). Both of these standardized pallets are used for the discount house’s internal logistics in countries such as Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

“The framework agreement that we have signed for supplying hand pallet trucks to this discount retailer has no time limitation,” said Martin Kutschka, CEO and director with responsibility for technology and sales at Pfaff-silberblau. “The decisive criterion for the awarding of this contract was the reputation that hoisting machinery and materials handling equipment from Pfaff-silberblau enjoy with regard to safety and quality standards.”

The SILVERLINE hand pallet truck is one of Pfaff-silberblau’s premium products. The popularity of this mobile jacking device for lifting loads is primarily due to its ease of operation: The pump lever makes it possible to raise or lower loads conveniently and with great accuracy, and its optimized wheels make maneuvering effortless. Moreover, the SILVERLINE’s excellent rigidity and optimized hydraulics provide the safety and reliability that people have come to expect from Pfaff-silberblau.
