ERNI Electronics offers robust and high-performance central electrical systems |
BLUEcontact central electrical systems use flexible pressfit technology for reliable energy distribution in automotive applications |
Adelberg/Germany, November 25, 2013 – ERNI Electronics has, on the basis of its extensive expertise in pressfit technology, developed the central electrical systems of the BLUEcontact™ line. These central control and supply units set new standards in terms of shock and vibration resistance and ensure reliable, compact connections with high current load capacity. The BLUEcontact line integrates the advantages of the flexible pressfit technology from ERNI Electronics, particularly in the commercial vehicle sector, where a reliable connection with the simultaneous use of high currents is particularly important. Typical applications range from ABS to control and display units, alternators through to the supply of radio systems and accessories. The modules offered by ERNI Electronics are characterised by their low power dissipation and high robustness against thermal and mechanical stress. The compact central electrical systems of the BLUEcontact series currently comprise the following modules: Standard module with 16 ATO fuse sockets; standard module with 11 ATO fuse socket, a mini fuse socket and a mini relay socket; standard module with 9 ATO fuse sockets and two mini relay sockets in addition to a standard module with two maxi fuse sockets and two maxi relay sockets. All the modules are specified for the temperature range from -40 °C to + 85 °C. The power is supplied via power element sockets with supply currents of up to 100 A. The fuse sockets are designed for standard ATO fuses. The modules are suitable for 12 and 24V applications. As an option, the modules can also be supplied already equipped (relays, fuses and/or miniature circuit-breakers, free-wheeling diodes). The dimensions of the modules are 102 mm x 60 mm x 36.8 mm (44.6 mm). Besides its central electrical systems, ERNI Electronics also offers a complete range of services to match, namely from the consulting to the right choice of interface plugs, positioning suggestions, 3D integration of the central electrics in the vehicle, connection of the remaining wiring harness connectors and dummy samples through to the series production of the central electrical systems. ERNI Electronics presents its innovative product portfolio and broad spectrum of EMS services at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2013 in Nuremberg (Hall 6, Booth 451). |
