ERNI Electronics is IATF certified |
Important step for the target market of automotive electronics |
Adelberg, Germany, 19 February 2019 - Following a successful audit by TÜV Rheinland, ERNI Electronics was awarded IATF certification at the end of 2018. For ERNI Electronics, the certification is an expression of the company's high level of quality and of great importance for the automotive industry as a market segment. Especially cable connections with the MaxiBridge, MiniBridge and MicroBridge connectors are increasingly used in cars. The highest quality and reliability are required here. Against this background, ERNI Electronics has continuously optimized its processes and works closely with its suppliers to ensure the high-quality standards that have now been documented with IATF 16949 certification. This sees the department headed up by Oliver Jehlitschke, Head of Quality Management EMEA at ERNI Electronics, wrapping up an important project. The certification confirms the optimisation of the company's internal process and product quality, the continuous further development of all company processes and the increase in customer satisfaction. In addition, certification is an important prerequisite for being able to supply Tier 1 suppliers or automotive manufacturers (OEMs). Oliver Jehlitschke summarizes: "With this certificate we underline the significance as a partner for our customers. It is also an expression of the fact that ERNI operates to international standards." Not only ERNI Electronics in Germany, but also the ERNI factory in Thailand has been awarded IATF certification, where Chonpraiphan Jabumrungwong, Head of Quality Management APEC, and her team were responsible for securing the award. ERNI Electronics Thailand has been part of the ERNI Group since 2013 and in particular leverages synergies between connector and cable production. With the expansion of production in 2015, ERNI has tripled its original production capacity in Thailand, and this at a high-quality level, as evidenced by the IATF certification. About the IATF 16949 The IATF 16949 standard replaced the previous ISO/TS 16949 and combines existing general requirements for quality management systems in the automotive industry. Certification is carried out on the basis of the certification guidelines issued by the IATF (International Automotive Task Force), based on EN ISO 9001. The aim of the standard is to improve the system and process quality in order to increase customer satisfaction, to identify errors and risks in the production process and the supply chain, to eliminate their causes and to check the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures taken. IATF16949 can be applied throughout the automotive supply chain. |
