Infineon and UMC extend automotive partnership with long-term agreement for 40nm eNVM microcontroller Production |

Munich, Germany, and HSINCHU, Taiwan – 7 March, 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) and United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE: UMC; TWSE: 2303) (“UMC”) today announced a long-term strategic cooperation agreement to multiply capacity for the production of Infineon automotive microcontroller in order to serve the rapidly expanding automotive market. The high-performance microcontroller product leverages Infineon’s proprietary eNVM (embedded non-volatile memories) technology and will be manufactured at UMC’s Singapore fab on its 40nm process. |

Munich, Germany – 6 March, 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) today announced the new AIROC™ CYW43022 ultra-low power, dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth® combo, extending its broad portfolio of existing AIROC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products. The CYW43022 ultra-low power architecture delivers industry-leading performance, with up to a 65 percent reduction in power usage during “deep sleep,” significantly extending battery life for applications such as smart locks, smart wearables, IP cameras and thermostats. |

(“GaN Systems”) today announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which Infineon will acquire GaN Systems for US$830 million. GaN Systems is a global technology leader in the development of GaN-based solutions for power conversion. The company is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, and has more than 200 employees. |

Infineon introduces highly integrated iMOTION™ IMI110 series for low-power devices |

Munich, Germany – 1 March, 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) launches the new intelligent power module (IPM) series iMOTION™ IMI110. The series combines the iMOTION Motion Control Engine (MCE) with a three-phase gate driver and 600 V/2 A or 600 V/4 A IGBTs in a compact DSO-22 package. The integrated motor controller series is suitable for motors in small and large household appliances as well as fans and pumps with typically 70 W output power. Depending on the system design, even higher outputs can be achieved. |

Infineon coordinates wide-scale research initiative for supercomputers in highly automated connected vehicles |

Munich, Germany – 28 February 2023 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) – They will be the heart of automated connected vehicles: high-performance computers built into the car, processing all the available data and information as quickly and reliably as possible, so that the vehicles can make their way safely through traffic. The research project Mannheim-CeCaS (CentralCarServer) will develop a corresponding automotive supercomputing platform. 30 research partners from industry and universities are working in the project, which is being supported by the German federal government's large scale funding initiative for digitalization of auto-mobility. Infineon will lead and coordinate the project. Representatives from all the participating institutions met for the kick-off event today at the Campeon, Infineon's Munich corporate headquarters. |
