Infineon makes smart and sustainable homes based on Matter a reality |

Munich, Germany – 5 October 2022 – Smart home solutions increase consumers’ convenience while reducing energy consumption and lowering consumers’ carbon footprints. However, different device ecosystems, products and protocols have made implementing a truly connected, secured smart home difficult until now. The Connectivity Standards Alliance’s (CSA) newly released Matter 1.0 specification helps alleviate these challenges by offering one unified standard for device makers to follow for many smart home applications including smart locks, lighting, thermostats, security systems, sensors and media devices. For this reason Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) extends its offering of AC-DC controller ICs by introducing the ICC80QSG single-stage PWM controller for flyback topologies. The IC is tailored for battery charger applications offering scalable power designs of up to 130 W – when optimized using CoolMOS™ P7 Superjunction (SJ) MOSFETs. It is also suitable for adapter, printer, PC, TV, monitor, set-top box, and audio amplifier applications. |
