21.03.2022 10:15 Optimized CoolSiC™ MOSFETs 650 V in D²PAK for lowest losses in the application and highest reliability in operation
Munich, Germany – 21 March, 2022 – Megatrends like digitalization, urbanization, and electromobility lead to increased power consumption. At the same time, energy efficiency is getting more and more important. Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) responds to these megatrends and resulting demands by offering a new family of CoolSiC™ 650 V silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs to deliver reliable, easy-to-use, and cost-effective top performance. The devices build on Infineon’s state-of-the-art SiC trench technology and come in a compact D²PAK SMD 7-pin package with .XT interconnection technology. They target high power applications including servers, telecom, industrial SMPS, fast EV charging, motor drives, solar energy systems, energy storage, and battery formation.
18.03.2022 10:15 Next-generation EiceDRIVER™ 2EDN gate driver ICs set a new benchmark for form-factor, faster UVLO reaction and active output clamping
Munich, Germany – 18 March, 2022 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) releases a new EiceDRIVER™ 2EDN product family. Aiming at space-limited designs, the next-generation devices complement the existing 2EDN driver ICs by providing higher system-level efficiencies, excellent power density, and consistent system robustness with fewer external components. Building upon this expansion, the 2EDN family is now able to drive the power switch device performance in applications such as servers, telecom, DC-DC converters, industrial SMPS, EV charging stations, motor control, low-speed light electric vehicles, power tools, LED lighting, and solar energy systems.
11.03.2022 10:15 Infineon boosts IPOSIM platform with automated lifetime estimation to simplify selection of suitable semiconductor components
Munich, Germany – 11 March, 2022 – Infineon Power Simulation platform (IPOSIM) from Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) is widely used for calculating losses and thermal behavior of power modules, discretes and disc devices. The platform provides easy access to analysis for single working points and user-defined load profiles. For industrial customers, estimating the lifetime of power modules is gaining more importance in the early design stage of power electronics systems. This is especially challenging for small and medium size companies as they lack the resources to set-up and run suitable simulations. To support these companies, Infineon’s IPOSIM platform now also offers a new premium feature, an automated service that allows easy lifetime estimation of components according to usage and application requirements.
