26.10.2022 11:45 Infineon launches XENSIV™ connected sensor kit, a new IoT sensors platform
Munich, Germany – 26 October, 2022 – IoT ecosystems and connected devices enable new service offerings and peripheral services to be bought and unlocked. However, prototyping sensor-based IoT use cases can become a resource intensive process until smart IoT systems are ready to be deployed. To support hardware and software engineers in the development of IoT devices, Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) has launched the XENSIV™ connected sensor kit (CSK), a new IoT sensor platform for rapid prototyping and development of customized IoT solutions.
25.10.2022 14:45 Chinese car company NETA first to use Infineon's new generation BMS solution
Munich, Germany – 25 October, 2022 – NETA Auto, a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, is the first to implement the new generation battery management system (BMS) solution from Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY). Infineon's BMS solution will be used in the NETA vehicle series. It was developed together with the supporting supplier B&Z Technology, which is specialized in battery management systems, motor controls and other system solutions for new energy vehicles. The BMS total solution promotes the development of NEVs towards high-performance and high quality. While Infineon provides the relevant technical support, B&Z handles system design and development, testing and verification, mass production and delivery.
24.10.2022 16:15 Infineon’s CIPOS™ Mini IM523 increases reliability and performance for low- and medium-power drive applications
Munich, Germany – 24 October, 2022 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) has launched the IM523 series of the CIPOS™ Mini family. The highly efficient IPMs (intelligent power modules) are based on the new 600 V Reverse Conducting Drive 2 (RCD2) IGBT technology, and come with an open emitter. The CIPOS IM523 series enables the integration of various power and control components to increase reliability, and optimize PCB size as well as system cost. The new IPMs are designed to control three-phase motors in low- and medium-power variable-speed drives for home appliances, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), as well as for industrial fans and drives up to 1.4 kW.
20.10.2022 17:15 Infineon delivers next-generation CIRRENT™ SaaS offering to optimize product development with intelligent data
Munich, Germany – 20 October 2022 – At OktoberTech™ 2022, Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) is bringing digitalization to the edge-from-the-cloud. Today, the company announced the next generation of its Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, Infineon’s CIRRENT™ IoT Network Intelligence (INI) – a cloud SaaS offering that helps IoT developers quickly and cost-effectively gather information about their products to increase reliability, improve product performance, and reduce support cost.
19.10.2022 10:15 Infineon leverages Cerence Emergency Vehicle Detection to enable “the hearing car” with reliable detection of emergency vehicle sirens
Munich, Germany – 19 October, 2022 – To improve road safety, many countries are introducing regulations that require drivers to actively yield the right of way to emergency vehicles. As more autonomous vehicles are deployed, regulations are likely to include self-driving vehicles that can also detect and respond to emergency vehicles and meet safety requirements. In numerous instances, this will require a combination of audible and visual warning signals. Today, Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) announced that it is working with Cerence Inc. (NASDAQ: CRNC) to build a solution based on automotive qualified XENSIV™ MEMS microphones (IM67D130A) from Infineon and Cerence Emergency Vehicle Detection (EVD) software. This will enable vehicles to actively detect approaching emergency vehicles, especially when they are not in sight.
18.10.2022 18:15 Infineon’s CoolSiC™ to provide power components for Bloom Energy’s Electrolyzer and Energy Server
Munich, Germany – 18 October, 2022 – The current energy crisis clearly shows that alternative energy sources are urgently needed for securing a climate-friendly energy supply. California-based Bloom Energy has chosen CoolSiC™ MOSFETs and CoolSiC diodes from Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) to process electrical power in Bloom’s Energy Server, the company’s fuel cell offering, and the Bloom Electrolyzer.
