Change in Management in Corporate Communications at Infineon |
Neubiberg, Germany – June 6, 2013 – Ralph Driever, Corporate Vice President Communications, is leaving Infineon Technologies AG effective June 30, 2013. Mr. Driever has been in charge of worldwide External and Internal Communications, as well as Marketing Communications, since 2008. “I regret Ralph Driever’s decision. With his strong strategic competence and ex-tensive network, he contributed significantly to repositioning Infineon in the public and raising the company's profile sustainably in the past years. I would like to especially thank Ralph Driever personally for his great support during my initial period as CEO. I wish him the best of luck for his personal future and continued success in his future career,” says Dr. Reinhard Ploss, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG. Klaus Walther will succeed Ralph Driever effective July 1, 2013. He comes from Deutsche Lufthansa AG where he was Head of Lufthansa Group Communications for over 13 years. Prior to that, Klaus Walther was Head of Corporate Communications of the international natural gas trading company, Ruhrgas AG in Essen (1996 – 1999), and a correspondent for the German public broadcasting station, ZDF (1984 – 1995), where his last assignment was in Washington D.C.. He began his career as an apprentice at Münchner Merkur in the Munich-based newspaper publishing company Münchner Zeitungsverlag, in 1976. “I am pleased that Klaus Walther is taking over this important position at Infineon Technologies AG and wish him the best of luck and success in his new role,” says Dr. Reinhard Ploss. |
