Infineon Among the Most Sustainable Companies Worldwide for the Fifth Consecutive Time |
Munich, Germany – January 19, 2015 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) has been included in the Sustainability Yearbook by the Swiss investment company RobecoSAM for the fifth consecutive time. Hence the German semiconductor manufacturer again ranks among the world’s 15 percent most sustainable companies. Dominik Asam, Chief Financial Officer of Infineon Technologies AG and responsible for sustainability, says: “Once again Infineon is among the top 10 ranked companies of the semiconductor industry – a great acknowledgment of our efforts. Ecologic and economic sustainability is part of Infineon’s daily business. This can be seen in the way we interact with employees, customers and suppliers as well as with authorities and communities in which our sites are located worldwide.” Already in September 2014, Infineon had been listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index – also for the fifth time in a row. The Sustainability Yearbook is based on the index score. The requirements to be listed are challenging. It is not enough for companies to rank amongst the top 15 percent of their industry to be listed – they also had to achieve a result within the 30 percent of their industry leader’s score. The Sustainability Yearbook is the world’s most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability. Every year, it assesses and documents the sustainability performance of around 2,000 corporations. |
