PROVERTHA Offers Universal Bus Connector for Flexible Field Assembly

Pforzheim – March 03, 2015 - PROVERTHA expands its comprehensive portfolio of bus connectors introducing the Universal bus connector special IK. The new Universal bus connector ensures the simple and reliable connection and fault-free EMC compliant data transfer with an internal cable clamp. The clamp provides a secure strain relief and shield connection of the cable. The Special variant offer a cable connection with 35° to the D-Sub mating interface. Nine screw terminals enable the universal usage for Modbus, RS 232, RS 422 and RS 485 An effective 360° EMI/RFI shielding and reliable strain relief is achieved by special full metal housing and solid cable clamp. The new Universal bus connector provides screw terminal to assemble flexible or solid wires with diameters of 0.14 mm to 1.0 mm (AWG 26 – AWG18). Cables with diameters of 6 to 9 mm are supported. The locking is via UNC 4-40. The new Universal bus connectors are specified to operate in the temperature range from  -20°C to +75 ° C, offer IP 20 protection and up to 200 mating cycles.
