PROVERTHA Offers CANbus Connectors with UL Approval

Complete bus connector portfolio now available with UL certification

Pforzheim – March 07, 2016 –  PROVERTHA CANbus connectors received UL approval, an essential prerequisite for global marketing and sales. Only products tested by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) according to current US product safety requirements are allowed to show the UL sign. UL certified products enjoy good reputation by end users and authorities as well as insurance companies. Meanwhile the complete fieldbus connector portfolio (CANBus, Profibus or Profinet) from PROVERTHA is available with UL approval. Fieldbus connectors from PROVERTHA consist of completely shielded zinc die-cast housing for maximum EMI/RFI safety and high functionality. Further typical characteristics are, in addition to the high quality standards, their tested quick connector solutions and compact construction method. Sensors and actuators are safely and reliably connected with the control unit due to PROVERTHA fieldbus connectors. The CANbus connector program includes a variety of solutions with different cable exit and termination for a wide range off applications. Function- and faultless connections within seconds can be realized with the Plug&Play M12 CANbus connectors. One of main features of the 100% tested connectors is the fully shielded zinc die-cast housing for high EMI/RFI robustness. PROVERTHA offers CANbus connectors in the variants axial (180° to D-Sub mating direction), compact (90°) and special (35°). A solid switch lever can be operated externally to activate the bus termination. Programming/diagnosis option is provided by a 2nd D-Sub, while locking is handled via a UNC 4-40 knurled screw. Additional variants for safe field assembly include bus connectors with internal cable clamp - ideal for rough environments - and devices with external cable clamp, which can handle special cables.
