PROVERTHA Presents High Quality and Cost Effective Contacts for its D-Sub Connectors

New coating for G1 and G2 contacts

Pforzheim and Munich – November 04, 2016 – Expanding its comprehensive portfolio of connector products and solutions to enable robust data networks in industry and automotive applications, PROVERTHA has developed new gold-plated coatings for its G1 and G2 contacts. The high quality contacts with quality grade G1 (500 mating cycles) and G2 (200 mating cycles) were qualified by comprehensive mating cycle tests and corrosive gas examinations. In addition, the innovative contact coating saves resources while protecting the environment. With the new contact coating the manufacturing costs are reduced. PROVERTHA will hand down this cost advantage to its clients. In the medium-term all D-Sub series will be supplied with the new G1 and G2 contacts. PROVERTHA manufactures D-Sub connectors since more than 25 years. Meanwhile the company offers D-Sub connectors for PCB assembly with different termination variants: 90° and 180° soldering, pressfit and SMT. In addition, variants for cable assembly with IDC, crimp and manual soldering termination are also part of the product portfolio. Further more PROVERTHA offers D-Sub connectors with mixed pins (signal and power), high-density, Dual-Port and filtered D-Subs. The product portfolio is rounded with D-Sub plastic hoods, 360° EMI/RFI D-Sub full metal hoods for railway and machinery applications demanding high EMC and the Push-Pull D-Sub locking system Quick Lock. PROVERTHA presents the first products using the new contacts at electronica 2016 (Hall B3, Booth 600).
