CSM and Vector Reinforce their Integrated Measurement Technology Solution with Joint Strategy |
Stuttgart, GERMANY, 02-12-2015 – CSM and Vector have agreed to work together intensively and engage in a joint venture for long-term and sustainable development and sales. In the future, users of measurement technology in automotive and commercial vehicle development will benefit from a closely coordinated complete solution for software and hardware products from Vector and CSM. Vector is contributing to the fully integrated comprehensive solution with its software tools for online acquisition, analysis and management of measurement data. CSM is providing the measurement technology hardware – in particular its rugged and extremely compact analog measurement modules – for use in vehicles and on test benches. Dr.-Ing. Winfried Koch, CEO and partner of CSM Computer-Systeme-Messtechnik GmbH: “As an independent hardware producer, CSM develops its products to communication standards such as CAN, EtherCAT and XCP on Ethernet. Our measurement modules interact optimally with the software solutions and interfaces of other producers that have become established on the market. This collaboration with Vector gives us an excellent opportunity to offer a comprehensive solution to our customers from a single source in the future. The experience and competence of Vector in developing complex software products and the many years of know-how at CSM in the field of challenging measurement technology hardware are an ideal match.” Thomas Riegraf, CEO of Vector Informatik GmbH adds: “Especially in the field of measurement technology, requirements by vehicle OEMs and ECU suppliers have increased tremendously with regard to measurement data rates, reliability and flexibility of the development tools that are used. The partnership between Vector and CSM enables optimal exchange of know-how and close intermeshing of their products. Our customers will in turn benefit from this partnership in their projects.” To solidify its strategy, Vector Informatik GmbH acquired a 24.8 % share of CSM Computer-Systeme-Messtechnik GmbH on 01-01-2015. In the future, CSM and Vector will continue to operate as separate and independent companies on the market.
