Stuttgart, GERMANY, 2020-10-16 – Vector now offers vConnect, a new and omprehensive Over-The-Air solution. It contains a consistent and modular OTA framework, from back end to vehicle. The framework provides a solid basis for the development of own OTA applications. For getting started, the vConnect Evaluation Bundle is available. The user quickly gains practical experience with automotive OTA and benefits from a variety of individual application options. Based on a modular framework, vConnect covers the most important automotive OTA use cases right from the start - for example OTA software updates (SOTA) and live diagnostics. Customers use the vConnect framework as a basis for developing custom OTA applications. Thanks to integrated end-to-end security functions, these applications are optimally protected from the very beginning. Integration into existing business systems and simple application development are easily possible. With the immediately available vConnect Evaluation Bundle, every user can directly convince himself of the advantages of the vConnect OTA solution in practical application. The VN8810 diagnostic hardware is simply connected to the vehicle via the OBD interface and provides a secure communication channel to the back end. This allows new software updates to be loaded onto the vehicle and defined diagnostic sequences to be executed. The vConnect Evaluation Bundle includes the VN8810 diagnostic hardware with the vConnect vehicle components and access to the personalized back end instance in the Vector Cloud.
