Indigo 8 - Exact-fit Diagnostic Tester with Remote Functionality
Stuttgart, GERMANY, 2021-07-07 - With version 8 of the vehicle diagnostic tester Indigo, Vector offers new possibilities to individualize and optimize remote diagnostics. With the new Plugin Installer Concept and the Software Development Kit (SDK), the user customizes the Indigo functionality. In addition, remote diagnostics with Indigo 8 offers a comprehensive safety concept with further optimized Vector Online Services, without any restrictions on ease of use.

Indigo is the intuitive vehicle diagnostic tester that can be customized and expanded as required without any knowledge of diagnostic protocols. This makes it easy to integrate Indigo into an existing customer-specific development process. With the new Version 8, users benefit from a Plugin Installer Concept that facilitates the installation of individual extensions. In addition to the Indigo installation, an Indigo user plug-in is delivered, which can be installed without administrator rights and extends Indigo functionally. These adaptations to individual user requirements are implemented by Vector on request.

Users can now also quickly extend functionality on a smaller scale themselves using the Indigo "Software Development Kit" (SDK). This allows the implementation of own use case diagnostic windows as well as access to the full range of functions of the Vector Diagnostic Scripting libraries.

With the new version 8, remote diagnostics has become even more user-friendly thanks to optimizations of the Vector Online Services: In a web portal, the user creates an account that can be easily used for all Vector remote diagnostic and flash tools. Despite a comprehensive security concept, remote diagnostics is very easy to use; the connection setup is practically as fast as with a direct local connection.
